Nuremberg Bridal Cup - A German Wedding Toast

Toasting is the strongest and most formal in Germany, Scandinavia and Eastern Europe.

In France, Italy and Spain the toast is even given a German name. In Spain and Italy, "on toast" is called "toast" and came from the German meaning "I'll take you," which means "you take him."
